I haven't been blogging much lately.
There have been things happening.
Good things.
Great things.
Things which required waiting.
I suck at the waiting.
I am happy to say that the waiting is finally over and I can share our good news. David has been offered a really exciting job in the Washington DC area. We will be moving in early January.
Moving is always hard and this move will certainly be no exception. We've come to love our small town outside of Boston. The list of things and people we'll miss seems endless and yet, we are thrilled too. A new house, Washington DC zoos, and museums and some old friends are exciting prospects.
I'm going to try to blog more faithfully, but I am busy getting the house ready to sell and homeschooling the kids. I hope you stick with me!

Wheee! I wonder if this makes you closer or farther from me... Congratulations to David on the job and to the family for the rewards! Such a vibrant place, DC... wave to the prez for me please! :) Love, Ms. TT
Good luck with the move!
Um, we are within 3 hours of DC! Nohing like an escape to the wilds of Central PA. But Arlington without Sara? Can't compute...
So excited for you! Can't imagine you anywhere but Portland and Arlington, though.
Could you move from Arlington, MA to Arlington, VA?I just packed up my house for storage for a cross country move and it was a nightmare. Good luck and just hire a few Dumpsters. Will make it all much easier.
I've been reading your blog since I stumbled upon it some time after moving to Arlington last winter...from where of all places but the DC area! We lived there five years, and I loved every bit of it. A great choice for sure!
Exciting! Congrats to your David! Well, you are an adventurous family and who knows what awaits you? I'll stick with you.
Congrats. ::sigh::
I'm worried about Amy while I'm thrilled for your family. Is DC ready for you? Mmmm, this could keep me awake for at least an extra minute tonight.
DC: Gotta be one of the best places around to really give the kids some terrific field trips and homeschooling wonderfulness.
