Junk Cape Cod style!

Dear Nana and Pepere,

Thank you for taking the children away for the entire day so that I could properly junk in peace.

Love,

The Management at Shiny Red Houses

What a day! I spent an hour in Barnes and Noble getting our classroom materials and then I spent the rest of the day slowly working my way back while stopping at every junk and antique store along the way. I'm taking you guys with me!

I brought my Canon G10 with me so that I could take lots of great pictures to share with you. Unfortunately, I forgot to put the battery back in and was forced to use my iphone to take pictures.

Sigh.

Anyway- are you ready?

I didn't buy much, but I did have a wonderful time greating inspired by all of the great junk! I've only been away from home for a few days, but I am getting excited to rework some areas as soon as I get home.

I'm working on a post all about how to junk- watch for it!

Fun! I stopped by a few antique stores this morning. My camera battery died after about four shots. Sadness. I'll still post the photos I did get tomorrow and you can see what antiques and "junk" are available in my neck of the woods!

Hi, Sara! I can't find the cord for my little camera. Still looking, but no antique shop photos yet.

Love the new look. Have you really figured out BlogHer? It freezes my brain.

They sure have a lot of crap on the Cape. If it's anything like Downeast, I'll be it's 'spensive as hell.

I'm rambling because I'm totally overwhelmed by the fact that you only spent 1 hour in B&N and got squared away for school. I bow to your shopping brilliance.

I had such a good time on your trip. I even have some of the things you showed - the cookbook and the YoYo quilt - it is fun to see stuff from my life start appearing in antique shops. :-)

I love the Yo yo quilt (is it a quilt?). Where do you go junking? I want to go with you!
