FBI by association...

Today marks the end of the longest winter vacation in Shiny Red Houses history. We stopped doing school work the second week of December. It was very fun to have plenty of time to enjoy all sorts of holiday festivities, but now we are ready to get back to work.

I printed up the lesson plans, cleaned the house and brace yourselves, I ran three miles today.

That's right people, three miles. And I didn't die.

The big excitement around here is that there is a new girl who just moved into our neighborhood. She is nine years old which makes her the perfect age for my girls. We had her over for a play date and it was just splendid. She is sweet and shy and well mannered. We've never had a right-next-door playmate before and Rebecca is simply giddy with the prospect of a new friend. Her mother also brought us truffles. I love her already!

I am excited because there is the possibility that I will be able to do a bit of solo junking tomorrow while the kids are on a play date.

By the way, I don't know if you guys noticed that a government FBI or CIA person left a comment on my blog yesterday. That sort of makes me an FBI guy by association. Except that instead of a loaded gun, I carry a loaded pug. And my secret missions involve junk stores. And stealth missions to secure chocolate from undisclosed locations.

Hmmm. I think I need to go liberate some chocolate right now!

It means the FBI or CIA is watching YOU, Sara. Which means you are in big trouble for something. They are obviously staked out as employees of the thrift stores. And you probably let one of them in your house...the 9 year old "girl." I mean, what do you really know about those new "neighbors?"

Three miles!!! Way to go. I can't even walk a mile, and you are running three?
That is pretty neat that a gal moved in next door and the girls are already having play dates.
I saw that comment on your last post. Hmmm interesting.
