People, I am such a housewife.
Really.
Here's today's Housewife Update:
1. Eating through the freezer. Almost empty! Down to three pieces of salmon, a package of gnocchi's, some asparagus risotto, and puff pastry.
And ice cream. Because I replenish the ice cream. A woman has needs.
When I went grocery shopping today I bought fruit, vegetables and bread.
And cinnamon buns. I was hungry and had a weak moment.
My plan is to try to make a menu and stick to it instead of just wandering around the store and filling my cart with whatever appeals to my sense of PMS at that moment.
2. Crazy Project #1. Working on the house facade that I bought last week after my harrowing adventure with the dead bird. Today I started scraping off the fake snow and made a colossal mess.
3. Crazy Project #2. Transforming Rebecca's old room darkening shades with the lavender toile fabric into room darkening shades with a black and gray floral fabric design for my room. I will be using the glue gun. God help me.
4. Must tidy basement. So, so shameful.
That's all I've got for you today. A laundry list of extreme lameness. Will try to reduce the boring tomorrow.

You can babble on and on and I will always be here to listen....I love your site.

Please don't take offense to "babble" ...it's our families C'est la merde? Oui, c'est la merde! I so love it!!
If I may be so bold. Cook the salmon, flake and add to cooked risotto with a squeeze of citrus. Take 3/4 cup of milk and 1T of flour, stir till boil, add a favored cheese and nape the gnocchi. Puff pastry, ice cream and fruit for dessert. Have hubby check freezer for frost.
Okay, who is Michael and is he available? lol. A man who cooks, whoo hoo. My hubby thinks throwing a steak on the bbq is cooking. lol.
I don't think you are boring at all, whatever you write always has some humor in it and I get a kick out of reading it.
You are so funny! I read in another blog (I'm going to go through major blog withdrawal when I go back to school! Yikes!) where the blogger was lamenting her "lame" posts and asking herself deep and heavy questions like, "Who cares?" and I realized how much I love the simple, beautiful appreciation of life's mundane moments. My mother recently reminded me that I am an extreme busybody (it's really NOT true!) and that's why I LOVE reading about people and why I so appreciate different interpretations of developmental happenings in (almost) complete strangers' lives. I can't explain it - it's just FUN! So, write on with confidence and what does boring really mean anyway? Have a happy day!
Mon cheri,
There is NOTHING boring about you! Can't wait to get home.
Moo.
David
And your hubby is just as cute as YOU!!
HUGS to all of you!
What a beautiful family.
PS hope he brings something nice for not being there with the whole bird thing...poor girl!
Can I join the boring club? I'm so boring I didn't have anything to post about for almost a week!
If you once get the menu thing worked out, you'll absolutely love it. It's a pain in the butt at first but SO worth it in the end. Let me know if you want some ideas!

No one is as boring as me! Just reading what you plan to do with a glue gun (make sure you keep a little cup of water near you to dip your fingers in when you burn them) makes me realize that I should plan to do something here. My husband is gone all day at a charity golf tournament and I have nothing to do! It's almost 10 am and all I have done is shower, feed the cats and read a chapter in my book. I really want to do something like your shade project, but way too lazy for that. And I would come and check out your blog even if all you say was "hello". I'm a fan! You are funny and I enjoy funny people.
have a nice day!
I'm glad we're celebrating the boring here! I'm having a hard time getting excited about blogging right now. All I've been doing is joining in the daily parties. I can't come up with an original thought for a post of my own. So, so boring!
That's so cute that your husband commented! Mine has threatened to do that. Luckily he hasn't figured out how yet!
Sounds more exciting than mine!
Hugs, Lisa
What was it about yesterday? Everything was uninspiring. Breathing was boring. Even chocolate was unappealing. Thank god it's a new day. Unfortunately I'm feeling braindead today. I wonder which is worse: boring yourself to death or not having a clue what's going on? I loved your "boring" blog!
Ginger, I took 2 1/2 years to design and build my kitchen. I even did some in home catering to get the feel of different kitchen layouts and the feel of cabinets and drawers. I got certified by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. In the end, I created 3 zones, prep/clean up, baking, and cooking with a tie in to an outdoor summer/grill kitchen. Needless to say, with having the kitchen torn apart for 2 years, there's a good chance I'm single.
Michael meet Ginger....
Ginger, Michael...
Good luck!
LOL...I am cracking up at Valerie's comment. I am not single. I am married to a man that can't find his way around the kitchen and would starve if I wasn't here cooking. Or so he tells me.
