Sharing the T.J.Maxx love with a giveaway!

You know that I love T.J.Maxx and Homegoods. I love to wander the aisles for inspiration. Sometimes it's for something big like a quilt or comforter, other times it's for a splash of color. My favorite color is red.

These are silk geraniums from Homegoods.

I love red geraniums. I know some people hate silk flowers but they're perfect for me. I've got four cats and two dogs, not to mention the children. Live plants rarely live for long in our house.

I fell in love with the bright red stripes on this pitcher and platter from Homegoods.

I found the red plates behind it at the junk store, but they probably came from T.J.Maxx originally.

This bird house adds an irresistible bit of whimsy to my mantle.

Do you love TJMaxx too? Are you a Homegoods junkie? If you are, simply leave a comment telling me what you'd do with the $25 TJMaxx/Homegoods giftcard that I am giving away. I'll close comments at 5pm on Friday and announce the winner Saturday morning. One entry per person please!

Oh wow $25 at TJ Maxx/Home Goods I would start by worring about how to use it. Then I would wander all the area stores over and over and buy little things (not using the card) until I spent a fortune trying to decide, One I would worry about this great ottoman that $25 would be half and put it in my price range. And then there is no telling which cake plate/s I'd end up buying!
Sorry you asked! hehehe
I love your blog I'm off to visit the rest!

Sara - I'm another "Cindy" visitor!

If I won, I would buy new sheets for my master bedroom. I'm in the process (a very slow process...) of re-doing the bedding and painting the furniture. I would love a fresh, new set of white sheets.

I'm adding you to my favorites - come by and visit me and enter my photography giveaway!

Oh I would love to win your giveaway! Please enter my name for I am indeed a Home Goods JUNKIE! I would see if I could find a candle holder like the one Cindy at My Romantic Home showed this week. By the way... that where I found you. Thanks for having this giveaway.

Sara, Saw your link on Cindy's blog. There is no Homegoods nearby here. There is a TJ Maxx though. I would probably spend $25 on home stuff because my boyfriend will hopefully be the owner of a new home soon that will be for us in the future.

I am another Cindy visitor. Cute blog, you have.
I love Home Goods and TJ Maxx and can always count on finding something cute there. I got a $25 gift card for Mother's day that I am planning on spending at Home Goods when I go to Vegas next month. It would be great to add another $25 gift card to it, as I am keeping my eyes open for a quilt for the bed in my beach room.
Thanks for the chance to win.

Sign me up!!! I don't know what I would buy if I won. I would just be so excited to be able to go to Home Goods or TJ Maxx & buy anything!!! I've had to stay away from these 2 stores (as well as Marshall's) as I am on a spending diet. So it would be sooooo fun to be able to spend, spend, spend for a change. So I hope that I win!

Hi Sara, You can count me in too, my husband has been laid off for five months now, so just receiving the Gift Certificate would be so exciting. I would just go in and look for the unexpected. I'm crazy about those stores you just never know what you'll find. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for the opportunity to win! This is certainly a great giveaway. Here's hoping-

I love TJ Maxx.... I have to drive about an hour to the closest store, and was just there a couple weeks ago. My daughter heads off to the clothing and I get right to the good stuff in the home goods department. I'm never disappointed with their selection. If I had a $50 gift certificate I'd buy something black for my kitchen since I am in the process of putting up black and white toile wallpaper and giving it a face lift.

We don't have a Homegoods here, but we have a TJ Maxx, and recently they remodeled so it looks more like a Homegoods. I love to shop there!

Sandy said...

Fabulous idea -- there is nothing better than TJ Maxx and Homes Goods. I have several in my area and a day spent hitting them all is a joy for my mom and me. Love those cakeplates and would have to have another with a gift card. Please include me. Found your blog from Cindy at My Romantic Home.

Hi, came for a visit, you have a cute little blog, and I plan to visit again, please add me to your giveaway.....hmmmmmmm, I think I would look at Tj Maxx for outdoor decor, since it's that time of year, I don't have a Homegoods near me at all, so I miss out on their lovely store. Have a great week!

I came here by way of Cindy's Romantic Home and I love the red!! I think I will bring some red inside!
I actually just came back from TJ Maxx and they have solar lanterns that I am thinking I need but keep waiting. I also love transferware and they have some pretty Johnson Bros. Old English Castles in pink that I do not have!!! Glad you love it, too! My next post will be things I have found, when my camera works for me!

I love both stores. I'm the finishing stages of a living room re-do, so I'd use it there.

Hi, I found out about your blog through Cindy at My Romatic Homes. I love it. I also love the color red. I use red in my kitchen and livingroom. It is a happy color to me. I use pinks and greens in the other rooms. Please enter me into the giveway. If I were to win, I would go straight to the dish department in TJMAXX. I collect "Old Country Roses" china and I can usually find pieces there at great prices! They of course have red roses on them! Come visit my blog sometimes!

I will buy underwear and socks, and if I have money leftover I will buy a low cut shirt. You can buy a lot for $25 at T.J. Maxx!

Coming to visit from Cindy's. If I'm your lucky winner, I'd most likely look at dishes or something else for the house. I'm like Hector the Collector in Shel Silverstein's book. It's a great poem that makes fun of "collections"! And I've got lots!

Jean said...

I shop at T.J. Maxx all the time and love it, but the only time I can shop at Home goods is when we visit our kids in northern Virginia, so I eagerly wait for time to go there and shop til I drop. I am lucky my hubby likes it too. I am always on the lookout for unusual things that they always seem to have, so a gift certificate would be great. I found your blog by way of romantic Home.

I would go to either store and buy something totally frivolous and beautiful as a special treat for myself. Haven't done something like that for years now. I always have to be practical with money. By the way, red is my favorite color, too!I saw a cool red teapot at HG once. I'd buy that if it were still there!

Hi, I found your blog from Cindy My Romantic
Home. I like the 2nd picture of the flowers
in the pitcher. The color red really pops.
If I won the gc I would buy a hanging
glass candle holder for my backyard.
Thank you for hosting such a nice giveway!

I love Home Goods! Winning the $25.00 gift certificate would be very timely, as I am just about to redo my living room. It would probably go towards some new lamps for that room. Hope I win!

I know just what I would purchase with a gift certificate--a wooden root bowl. I have wanted one for ages. It would be nice to get something just because and not because of a need.

What would I do with $25 for TJMaxx/HomeGoods? Hmmm. Well, first of all I know that I would head for those delightful Clearance shelves at the end of the aisles. Maybe I'd find a pretty chintz teapot with no lid, or a sweet cottagey shelf with a few scratches, or perhaps a 600 count sheet that has lost it's mate. The possibilities are endless!! This may turn in to an all day event. I'd better pack a lunch.

Unknown said...

How fun!! It is hard to say for SURE what I would spend the $25 on, but you can be guaranteed that I would be wondering the home decor section for a long time! I really want some lime green throw pillows....either solid or with some sort of damask pattern. I have been wanting to change the colors in my livingroom from reds to lime green! I hope I win so I can get started!!! :)

I have to visit my local tjmaxx at least once a week. When I dont have any money and I miss a week I'm worried I am going to miss something fabulous! I visit the one in my town PLUS the one in another town that is only 15 minutes up the highway...I have to check both because sometimes one has something great that the other doesn't. I'm a true T.J. Maxx Junkie! If I won the gift card I'd love it, not sure what I'd buy because their seletion is always changing but I assure you it would be something that I "HAVE TO HAVE!!". What a fabulous & generous giveaway, please enter me! Thanks So Much!

Cindy saw your note on Cindy's blog. Love the red. I know what you mean I gave up on house plants. I look for realistic faux flowers. (Sounds like faux Corinthian leather lol)
I love TJ Maxx. I find pieces that fit my style. If the color is off - I transform them.
You can't go wrong with that store. Thanks for your great giveaway.

We could do some damage at Home Goods, you & me... you snagging red, me snagging blue ;-) I am such a Home Goods Junkie. I carried a HG beach bag as a purse today, my keys are sitting on a little HG chest. I ate my supper sitting on HG cushions on the patio chairs.

I absolutely would buy something that speaks of the sea... maybe one of those gorgeous sea glass colored quilts, in a twin size to use as a throw.

Hopped over from Cindy's My Romantic Home. What a fun blog you have!

I'm currently looking for one candlestick to compliment two mismatched candlesticks that seem to be happy together. My vision is to have a trio of candlesticks for a spot I've got picked out. I'm sure there are many other items that I don't even yet know that I "need"! I have only to wander through the decor aisles to have more needs/wants pop up!

Blessings,

Michelle

I just found your lovely blog while at Cindy's My Romantic Home. Red was my favorite color as a child and to this day I still love touches of it. In fact my Dad tiled my childhood bedroom in red and white tiles at my request. A Homegoods store just open near us last year and I love going there. I have bought some very nice things there and wouldn't have any problem finding something new if I was lucky enough to win your gracious give-a-way. So, please enter me.
