Some scenes from home...

I spent the entire day at home today doing laundry and tidying. I've also been working on a very housewifey project. I'm not ready to share yet though.

I did play with my camera today.

These are the candle holders we always used for birthdays when I was little. I don't know why the monkey is so unhappy. He looks upset. Is he lost? The other animals are happy. Does the monkey know something that they do not?

I found this is my great aunts basement. My uncle had used to hold sandpaper. I use it to hold cooking spoons.

What did they use 10lbs of lamb livers for?

I found those little white plates with the red ruffle at the junk store last week. I love them. I want to marry them and have their little red ruffled plate babies.

I found these polka dottie borders at Michaels. They're really for teachers to use in their classrooms, but I used double-sided sticky tape and put them on my bookshelves.

I have such a weakness for Feistaware.

Rebecca found the colorful little change purse for $2 dollars at the junk store. She's a good little junker.

Here's Phinney. He works so hard. His job is to sleep 23 hours a day.

Tomorrow is the end of my Godiva giveaway! Get your comment in!

What wonderful goodies ~ I love them all.

The red ruffle plates are so cute ~ I'd have snatched those right up if I saw them!! I love the strawberries peeking out behind them. I love strawberry anything.
The cannisters are real nice and what an excellent idea to use that border on your shelves. I may need to borrow that idea!

Love that little purse too! Thanks for playing with your camera today!

I saw that sweet border at Michaels, and I wanted to get it so bad, for the cupboard that holds all of my vintage glasses, but I knew that it would be ripped to shreds in no time. That can is funny. Only "selected" livers!
And those little plates? I'm afraid I would have wrestled you to the ground for them if I had been there!

I have to ask...what do you consider a "junk" store? A consignement shop? Antique store? I must inquire because I am intrigues by your treasures and want to secure some of my own!!!
Hope you have a great day!

He's a unionized MBTA train conductor, and he was recently told that he has to pay attention to his job instead of texting.

That monkey does look unhappy doesn't he? I am laughing over the 10lbs of lamb liver. Ugh.
I love those little plates with the ruffle around the edge.
Phinney has the life I want. lol.

LOL! That's 10 lbs. of "selected" lamb livers! What the heck does that mean and who ate all those livers??? I love those little ruffled plates and can picture old fashioned tulip shaped ice cream dishes on top. I am a total dish freak. Once my husband and I were having dinner at our neighbor's house and he somehow discovered that they were using the same dishware for over 20 years. He had such a shocked look on his face. I guess he thought everyone had about nine different sets of china (two of them Christmas). He hasn't stopped talking about it! Geesh!
